I want to join Weight Watchers and am wondering if they usually run some sort of sale after the New Year or if they ever have any type of discount on their fee's?
They do seem to have sales quite often at peak "sign-up" times (like January and just before summer). Usually you save the sign-up fee, which is around $40 or so, at least here in Canada. You can also get a lower price by purchasing several months at once, rather than paying week-to-week.
I got an email that WW Canada has special fees right now, but I couldn't find anything about WW US on their website. You might want to give them a call and ask. Around here, they also run quite a few radio ads when they have a special on.

What is the New Years Special? Free registration and 10 weeks for 89.50 or something like that? I checked online and that is what they said...just curious if that is what you were offered.

Well usually free registration is across the board this time of year. The fee though really ranges depending on where you live. Here in NYC it's around $109 for 10 weeks or what's called the loyalty plan or something. Then you have the liberty plan which is $13 each week without buying in bulk in advance. Some areas also have a freedom plan where you pay $15 a visit, but you only show up once within the month to keep your account active.

Thanks! I looked it up on their website.
Locally, it is is free Registration (until March 10th.) and 10 weeks for $89.50 or $10.95 a week.
You get the new Ready Set GO Kit Free at the first meeting. Kit includes: step-by-step action plan, new energizing exercise DVD, and delicious meal ideas.
Thanks for the thread, it has me thinking.
So, have you done Weight Watchers? There are two plans...any comments on what the difference between the two plans might be? Anyone (here) had any success with the program?

My husband and I just rejoined last night; we really needed to. December was a constant eating fest for us. In our area, they are waiving the $21 registration fee, and the weekly meeting fee is $14. I've always done the Flex points in the past, but we are considering trying the Core. Has anyone been doing Core? Have you found it easy to follow? In the past, the Flex points have worked well for me as long as I journal and count my points, of course.:)
