Since I am normally leery of the apple sausage cabbage combo, I was surprised how good this was - not too sweet, and very flavorful. I served it with the cheesy potatoes featured with the Pork Chops in Mustard Sauce (also in the 30 minutes or less section)- so tasty. There was plenty for my fiance and I, and enough to take for lunch today. A good meal for a cold, snowy night (yes, it snowed here in Boston last night!!)

pmmahan,
Once again you have found a winner!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif We had this for dinner tonight and it was very tasty. (I probably wouldn't have tried it if I hadn't seen your positive review). I used a Merlot for the wine and the cabbage flavor was so mellow even my daughter liked it (and red cabbage is not on her acceptable vegetable list). I served it with the Easy Corn Pudding recipe from the Complete CL Cookbook. (FYI - The corn pudding was great also! It reminds me of the corn stuff they serve at Chevy's restaurant on the kid's plate).
Both are repeaters in our house!

Just made this last night. I liked it but DH did not. Apparently he doesn't really like the cabbage part at all! I don't understand this as he loves cole slaw. I was a bit disappointed as I did like it, it was quick and easy, and used cabbage which I normally don't like. It won't be repeated in this house, but I will be eating the leftovers for the next few days!
I made this tonight. I enjoyed the contrasting flavors. I couldn't find the apple sausage (went to 3 grocery stores) so I just used smoked turkey sausage. My DH thought it was okay. If I make it again, he wants me to double the sausage and half the
cabbage! He is not a big cabbage fan!
