How can I doctor canned chicken broth to taste more like homemade? I was thinking of adding some carrots. Any other ideas? Or is this a bad idea altogether?

When I make broth, I always add an onion, some celery leaves and a bay leaf as well as carrots. Those might help.

mightyh, if you are going through the trouble of adding things to the broth, then you might as well make your own to begin with.
The beauty of the ready made is that you use it as is. But then again, I never use it in soup (assuming you are asking for that reason).
