Just did about 40 miniutes on the stepper mixed with light handweights, then some toning exercises.

What did you do today? Do it, then POST IT!

My experiment with 8 minutes in the morning continues. Im curious if it will work. My muscles are rubbery, so it must be doing something...:D

I'll join in...

As part of my New Year's resolutions, I promised myself that I would do cardio 4 times a week for at least 45 minutes. So, yesterday I forced myself to the gym, and fought my way to a machine (the place was insane with new folks!), and did my 45 on the treadmill. YEAH!

Today, I plan on doing the same after work. Hopefully it won't be quite so crowded.

Thanks for keeping me accountable with this one! Great daily thread!

Jamie

Edited to Add - I got my 45 in for today as well! Two days in a row! I'm on a roll. :-)

Terri, I was going to PM you this questions, but I thought others might be interested in the answer. :)

I tried a spinning class once and really liked it. Except the next day my butt was so sore I could barely sit down. Not muscle-sore, sore from the seat. Also it was really uncomfortable when I was riding the bike? What's the best type of shorts/pants to wear to be more comfortable during the ride? Or maybe I was just sitting on the bike wrong? It was a great workout but I never took another class because it was too painful!

Hi Joanne! The seat does feel AWFUL the first week or two. And then it totally goes away. You can buy bike shorts that have padding, and you can also buy a gel seat (it's like a set cover) that you put over the saddle. But I think the best advice is just to wait it out and I promise it will get better. It becomes a total non-issue, but that first few times, I would have never believed it either!

Terri

p.s. sit as far back in the saddle as possible..that helps a bit.

45 minutes on the elliptical this morning:)

Thanks for the advice on spinning, Terri. I may throw a class or two into my schedule to mix things up. For some reason, I am really bored with kickboxing at the moment...

30 minutes on the elliptical and some assorted exercises with hand and ankle weights. According to the weatherman we'll get our exercise shoveling snow before the week is over:eek:

40 minutes on the elliptical -- the gym wasn't as crowded today as yesterday. Maybe the resolutions are waning....:D

45 mins of cardio, mixed between the eliptical and treadmill. I almost didn't go, it's been so cold and rainy here! I'm just not use to this weather!
