I bought a tri-tip roast today with a sell-date of today. I want to eat it on Sunday. Would you freeze it today (realizing that I would have to defrost it tomorrow afternoon), stick it in the refrigerator or cook it today and have it cold or reheated on Sunday?

Sorry about the duplicates ... it wouldn't post and then I had LOTS of them :o And the stupid board won't let me delete them either :(

Wow! The gremlins got you good!!:p
As for the roast, I'd just refrig and cook on Sunday.

Good, that was my first choice as well.

Wow, I feel like I'm cramming for a food safety exam. Looking at the board I have "Freeze, cook, or refrigerate" running through my head like a mantra, not unlike when I learned declensions in Latin.;) :p
Sorry, I have no clue on the roast (though I would just refrigerate it); I'm just being goofy on a Friday. ;)

I agree. That is what I would do.
