We're a group who have been meeting for two years now to share potluck dinners once a month at each others' homes. Some of the themes we've done so far have included California cuisine, Thai, North African, 1950's Americana, Food with Pumpkin, Bastille Day and Latin American.
The size of our active group fluctuates from month to month so sometimes we are 5 and sometimes 20 (tho more commonly about 10); the majority of us are in our early to mid 30's tho we have a couple 20-somethings and a couple 50-somethings. We usually meet pretty centrally - Los Feliz, Silverlake, Glendale, Highland Park, Mid City, Fairfax area, etc. Its a great opportunity to learn more about cooking - some folks are more on the amateur end, others have impressive culinary vocabularies and experiences. We all share a love for cooking and eating and I suppose that is the underlying characteristic that unites us.
