Has anyone tried any of the July salmon recipies? I was going to make the salad with cucumber dressing for Father's Day.

*fingers crossed in wishful thinking* Perhaps the July mag will show up in my box as quickly as this new BB is working!! *laughing*
Can't wait to see them when they arrive :-)

I'm not sure if the feature was in the June issue (one of the most recent, at least), but we made the salmon recipe with the citrus dill sauce. We didn't have any dill on hand, but it was still good.

I tried the one with the parmesian grits. It was okay. My boyfriend thought grits with mushrooms in it was too wierd.

OOPS!!!! Don't freak out anyone, I meant the June issue, not JULY!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for the confusion. No I have not received my July issue.

The Indian spiced salmon was excellent.

We made the salmon w/cuke dressing last weekend. Salmon on the grill is hard to beat! The salad itself was very good, but the dressing was a little thin. We figure that's because it uses no oil or vinegar (lemon juice is the acidic component). It's worth making again, but I'd throw in a generous dash of olive oil. The recipe w/the grits was also very good; I left out the mushrooms since I refuse to eat them! Also, allow extra time - the salmon took much longer to broil (~20 min.) than the recipe recommends. Hope you enjoy!

We just made the salmon with grits and really enjoyed the dish. I agree with Ralph, the broiling time was about 20 minutes. We'll be making the grits to go with other grilled dishes. A nice change.
