Good to see the new BBs up and running! They certainly are different from the old ones, but I m sure I ll get used to it and appreciate the new features. A couple of questions: what are private forums, and when is a thread closed? Thanks in advance.

A private forum is one that only certain users have access to. If you are asked for a password to get into the board - then it's private.

A thread is closed when an Administrator (a CL.com staff member) decides the thread has run its course. I don't see us needing to close threads at this point, however.

Thanks for the questions and enjoy the new boards!

I have two questions for the administrator...1) what does it mean to be a junior member? 2)can we still get to the old bulletin boards?

Thank you!

1) what does it mean to be a junior member?

A junior member is a newly registered user. Once the Jr. member posts a certain number of posts (yet to be determined) they are "promoted" to a full Member.

2)can we still get to the old bulletin boards?

No. We have made a full switch-over to our new bulletin boards.

Guess my vision (or e-mail savvy) isn't up to snuff. I understand the face icons, the thumbs up and thumbs down, but I can't even see what the first picture on the bottom row is, nor am I clear as to the meaning of the arrow.

Also, what's the reply with quote icon all about? Questions, questions, questions... Sorry about that.

Please elucidate.

The first icon on the bottom row is a light bulb - probably for those "bright ideas" everyone on this board comes up with.

Also, my guess for the quotes is so that you can answer/reply to a certain person's message and everyone knows what you're referring to.

On the old boards there was a sort of hierarchy that you could see that could sometimes get confusing if you just posted all replies.

Shirley-

Thanks. That seems to make sense. I'm embarrassed to say that even with reading glasses, I couldn't make heads or tails out of the lightbulb!
