Where to find anchovies???

I have a recipe that calls for 6 anchovy filets. Where do you find them? In the meats section? In the aisles? Near the clam juice? Are you supposed to get them fresh? Or canned?

By the way, I usually shop at Publix... In case that helps!

You should be able to find them by the canned tuna, shrimp, crab...generally the canned meat section.

Or you can buy them from the charcuterie in a good grocery store or specialty foods store, either in olive oil or packed in salt. I just tried the little white ones in olive oil, and boy they bear no resemblance to the hairy brown ones in the can! :D
