Another thumbs up! I love to make these with the Triple Bean Pot featured in the same section - so easy and so yummy!

My husband loves this recipe! I have also used the sauce and spice mix on chicken breasts and he said that they were great. I made them using the same directions as the pork chops.

Since DH raves about this recipe, and I don't eat meat, I was feeling a little left out so I cooked slices of tofu using the sauce and spice mix. It was pretty good but I bet the chops (or chicken breasts) are tastier.

We make this sauce all the time! I usually use sea scallops and grill them on skewers with the sauce. We've also found it is GREAT on whole portobellos and then grilled til soft!

Wow- I finally tried these and loved the sauce. It's just the right mix of tangy and sweet. I see this recipe making it into the "frequent rotation" file (as if I were organized enough to file!). I wonder if anyone's tried the sauce on chicken? I think it would be yummy on grilled chicken as well. Here it is (in case anyone's curious):

BARBECUED PORK CHOPS
Sauce:
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
Remaining ingredients:
6 (6-ounce) bone-in center-cut pork chops (about 1/2-inch thick)
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
Cooking spray

1. Prepare grill or broiler.
2. To prepare sauce, combine the first 4 ingredients in a small bowl. Place 1/4 cup sauce in a small bowl; set aside.
3. Trim fat from pork. Combine the thyme, garlic salt, and pepper; sprinkle over pork.
Place pork on grill rack or broiler pan coated with cooking spray; cook 6 minutes on each side, basting with remaining sauce. Serve pork chops with reserved 1/4 cup sauce. Yield: 6 servings (serving size: 1 pork chop and 1 1/2 tablespoons sauce).

Hi CL4me: I was just reading through this issue last night and decided to give the recipes a try for tonight's dinner :-). How great to see them reviewed and well received. It's the March 2000 issue. The recipe calls for bone-in chops, I have boneless--I hope that won't make a difference in the outcome. The whole meal looks so yummy!!! It will be like a touch of summer on this beautiful spring day. Happy Easter Everyone! :-)
