apricot oat bars from this issue

I tried making the apricot oat bars and they were awfully crumbly. I think the "batter" was to resemble a coarse meal but mine was more like thick flour. The apricot preserves binds it together okay i suppose but I sure think is is a little dry looking. Not like other cl recipes I have made before, any thoughts, anyone else try it?

Were these the ones from the March issue? I just made them last night and experienced the same exact problem. There must be something missing in the recipe. They taste okay, but I definitely wouldn't make them again!
