I just read this from yesterdays newspaper, and wasn't sure if anyone else saw it. Don't mean to scare anyone but, I'll be checking my packages of meat. It says-
'Bar-S Foods Co. posts warning after tainted product was found, and has recalled 14.5 million pounds of meat and poultry. The meat could be contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes and was detected in a sample of sliced ham taken from the plant March 19.
Recalled products include lunch meats, whole hams, sausages, hot dogs, and corndogs. Recalled products are Bar-S, Bar-S Extra Lean, Coronado, Chuck Wagon, E-Z Carve,
& Thrifty. Packages have the code EST 471 inside the federal inspection seal.. A complete list of recalled products can be found at www.bar-s.com (http://www.bar-s.com) and clicking the yellow box at the bottom of the page.'
