Our Supper Club consists of eight couples. We meet one Saturday per month, eight times a year. We pre-planned our entire year and provided a schedule and guidelines for each couple. Each couple "hosts" the event and provides the entree - the other couples are assigned a different item to provide at each event (these items rotate among the couples each month) - those items are, Appetizer, Salad, Potato/Rice Dish, Vegetable, Bread, Dessert, Wine (or Cocktail) and a Game. We also plan one outing/event per year (during a month we do not meet) and put $20.00 a month into that account - to be later used to pay for that excursion. We have developed a website as well... where we can post the recipes we make for our Supper Club meetings, and plan to add fun photos from our events. We are very excited about our new club - and are using Cooking Light to get more fun ideas and recipes. Our website is; www.cheesystreet.com. Feel free to stop by our site - and sign the guestbook to let us know you were there!

What a cute website. I love the name as well. Did it take long to gather the interested couples and to get everything all sorted out?

Hi Robbin,

Thanks for the compliment - I certainly have enjoyed putting the website together. We modeled our club after another one that is here in town - so the details of our club were easy to come up with. The difference between us and the other club is that "Cheesy Street" is quite casual - where the other club (Fancy Feast Supper Club) dinners are pretty formal in nature. We gathered most of our club members from people we developed relationships with over the years when we were all in the Ionia Jaycees. Most of us "aged-out" of the Jaycees (turned 40!) and found we really missed seeing each other on a regular basis. Although we do have one couple in our group that is under the age of 40.

Before our first club meeting - we already contacted everyone by telephone - and each couple chose the date they wanted to host the event - I filled in the items that the other couples would provide each month based on that - and thus our yearly schedule was born!

Everyone in the club likes that they can get information off the website... and we look forward to adding new photographs and other fun stuff as our club develops.

I think you'll have a great time putting a club together - and I bet it will be easier than you think!

Thanks, Beth..and good morning. I hope running a wonderful supper club will not have me awake at 4am!
It sure is nice to know there is a nice place to come to such as here to ask questions and get advice. Thanks again, Robbin
