Valentine party drink suggestions??

My friend is having a chocolate party for Valentines and we are looking for drinks to go along with the chocolate theme. Does anyone have any tried and true drinks? Martini, cocktails, or red wine to recommend with chocolate?

2 to 1 vanilla vodka (or plain with a tiny splash of extract, a lot cheaper) to Godiva White Chocolate liqueur. Or adjust the liqueur to taste if the vodka is too strong.

Something with Chambord would be great. Some French Martinis are made with JUST vodka and Chambord. Straight Chambord would be good, too.

I would shy away from chocolate liquor to serve with chocolate -- I'd pick something that contrasts, and that's not too sweet.

Nola's Chocolate "Soul" Martini

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 ounces Ketel One Vodka
1/4-ounce white Creme de Cocoa
Chocolate swizzle sticks for garnish, optional

Place the cocoa powder on a small shallow plate. Moisten the rim of a martini glass with vodka or water. Dip the rim of the glass in the cocoa powder until coated all the way around.
In a cocktail shaker over ice combine the vodka and creme de cocoa and shake several times until well chilled. Pour through a strainer into the martini glass, and garnish with chocolate swizzle sticks if desired.

Serve immediately.

Champagne, or kir royales (champagne with a little chambord in it) or a nice cabernet sauvignon.

I think the fruity champagne cocktail that I posted on another thread just recently would be great! Let me know if you want it and i'll look for it, but it's basically frozen fruit cubes in a pitcher with a bottle of champagne pour over top. These are delicious.

Seems to me the February Bon Appetit had a whole page of Valentine drinks.
But be sure to have some coffee for those who love it with their chocolate desserts!
