Help! Missing ingredient for Cheesy Chick. Chowder!

I'm having a friend over for lunch tomorrow and was planning to make Cheesy Chicken Chowder. The trouble is, I'm out of celery and I'm without a car tomorrow. Could I leave it out? Add more of something? Suggestions would be most welcome...

Don't panic, schuh, I'm the original poster of that recipe, and I don't think there would be a problem with leaving out the celery. In fact, I've done it! It does add a nice flavor, but I'm sure you could improvise. Do you have any celery seed or celery salt? Either would kick it up a bit.
