Does anyone have a "lasagna pan"? I am thinking something a little bigger and a little deeper than a 9x13. What kind do you have/or what kind would you like to own? What would you make in it (besides lasagna, of course!).
I was thinking it might be a nice thing to have - our local kitchen store is having a sale this week - 15% off everything!!!
Thanks!

Yes what I would call an lasagne pan or dish is a little deeper and larger than a typical 9x13, anywhere from 10x13 to 12x15, and at least 2 full inches deep, are typical of the ones I've seen. I think my garden-variety Pyrex is about 12x15.

i have the same Pyrex that funniegirl mentioned, plus a Corningware, and also a SS version, but i've found i prefer glass/ceramic for baked pasta dishes (and lots else besides). i also saw today that Anchor Hocking has put out a glass lasagna-sized (9x15) that is deeper than the pyrex ones, and also somewhat decorative, with stamped designs in the glass (maybe harder to clean???). what you want to look for is a 4-quart (+) capacity.

I have the Corningware Lasagne pan. I haven't used it for anything but that b/c a 9x13 has been enough, but I can see it having more use down the road.

I have one like this:
http://www.chefscatalog.com/products/mp/CC1156_mp.jpg It's 15 x 11 x 4 1/2 inches. I like the fact that it's very deep and allows for more layers, especially when I do one with meatballs or we're having guests.

I have a nice deep one. It is similar to the one in the picture, only has a shiny nonstick finish, sort of like the Bakers Secret finish. I roasted a cut up chicken in it tonight. I use it to roast meats as much as I use it for lasagna. I like the high sides.

All-Clad also makes one, but I don't know if it's worth the $$. I do like the handles on the sides, tho!
