I am by no means intending to start a religious debate with this thread, and will have no problem deleting the entire thing if it gets too heated, but I am interested in some resource type books.

I have read the Da Vinci Code not long ago and was intrigued by many of the stories/theories in the book. I have friends who think the whole book is a bunch of garbage and some that think it is finally the truth. As a grad student, I need to do more research. ;) :D ;)

So have any of you read any of the books that came out as a response to The Da Vinci Code?

I want ones for both sides of the argument. If you have read any of them, I would love to know what you have liked, what have you not liked. TIA.

I haven't read it but there is The Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction? by Hank Hanegraaff (also known as the "Bible Answer Man"). The description below was taken from BooksChristian.com which is selling the book for $3.95.

"People are talking. The DaVinci Code has been on the New York Times best-seller list for almost a year and is raising a variety of responses from Christians and non-Christians alike. Some are outraged and upset by the claims of Dan Brown, while others are left utterly confused and don’t know what to believe. The DaVinci Code: Fact or Fiction? explodes the myths of the book and shows the reliability of Scripture, the divinity of Christ, as well as the historical facts for the Priory of Zion and the Knights Templar. This is the only hands-on accessible reference guide. The DaVinci Code: Fact or Fiction? helps you turn debate about the book into an evangelistic opportunity."
