Does anyone have a recipe that is close to the canned and wonderful Mrs. Fearnow's Brunswick Stew? My friend from NC shared some with me here in Michigan, and we loved it! We can't get it here, and several recipes that I've tried don't compare. Can anyone help?

Interesting I should see this post today as I had a can for lunch! I am from Richmond Va and Mechanicsville, where Fearnow's is made, is a suburb of Richmond, so it was a staple in our family growing up. I live in Raleigh NC now and we can get it here, even at Sam's! When my brother lived in London, we used to have to ship it to him so he could get his fix! I wonder if you can order it off the web?
It is very close to a traditional Virginia Brunswick Stew, so you may be able to find a recipe on the web, or I could look in some of my Virginia cookbooks. (Although the wayback recipes often used squirrel or rabbit, and, obviously, they use chicken now.)

Beth Y-
Thanks for your reply! I've tried some basic attempts at finding Mrs. Fearnow's online...no luck. If it's not too much trouble, could you please check a can for me and see if there's a site listed there? Thanks a lot! I did find a pressure cooker recipe that was good, but not great. Still searching!
