Blueberry Turnover question

I want to make these turnovers but I cannot get good, fresh blueberries yet. Do you think it would work with frozen berries? And if so, should I thaw them first? Thanks.

When I made these I used fresh blueberries, but I don't think that it would effect the taste that much if you used frozen. I would definitely thaw them first though.
