Thanks for asking http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif I am so excited - thanks for everyone's useful advice.
We spent a loooong time searching and wound up at sears. Consumers Reports had us leaning toward the Weber Silver Genesis A (I think that is what it is called). Anyhow, we were about to get it when we noticed a Kenmore for the same price with a bigger cooking surface, nicer grate(?), and generally more substantial. Anyhow, we went to the food court and mulled it over, and when we went back we noticed the another Kenmore for $50 more with an extra burner, a side burner (for a pot), a wood chip drawer, and rotissere heat thing. As you can tell I don't have the terminology down.
To make a long story short, we got swept away and impulsively went with the better Kenmore. I just asked DH and he said it was something like Kenmore Premier 5-burner. I am sure that isn't that helpful. But if you want to know more I can tell you tomorrow (it arrives this afternoon for delivery and set up - we're lazy).
Thanks again for caring...and for convincing me to get gas. I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to summer cookouts.

I think you will enjoy more burners on the bbq. That will give you better control of the heat. There are plenty of recipes that can be adapted to the bbq. Have fun with it.
