I can fully understand how it might be ridiculous for CL to rename every incarnation of gingersnaps or roasted chicken that they create, but some of this stuff can be confusing...

The May issue has a recipe for Carrot-Ginger Soup. There is a differnt recipe in the April issue (just LAST month) for Carrot-Ginger Soup!

Just last month, I got confused after reading the recipe for Artichoke-and-Goat-Cheese-Stuffed Chicken Breasts (CL Complete/May '97), and bought the artichoke bottoms that it called for. However, I really wanted to make Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Artichoke Hearts and Goat Cheese (CL March '99), which call for artichoke hearts.

makedah,

I have been noticing that also. Guess there are only so many different names for recipes with similar ingredients. I was surprised today when I opened my May issue and saw another recipe for Carrot-Ginger Soup! At first I thought they had accidentally duplicated the recipe in both issues. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/confused.gif Then I looked at the ingredients and saw some differences. I made the April '01 recipe but think I will pass on the one in May. I only need one good recipe for Carrot-Ginger Soup!
