View Full Version : ISO: Thick & Crunchy Choc Chip Cookie

My sister just asked me what makes a Chocolate Chip cookie Thick and crunchy. I think that the more butter in a recipe the crunchier the cookie is, because there is a farm market near us that sells CC cookies that taste sooooo buttery. But, they are thin and crispy. I have no idea what would keep a cookie from spreading and flattening out. Anybody have any recipes or ideas for thick but crunchy chocolate chip cookies?

The Alton Brown #10 cookies are definately thick. They are crunchy for some and slightly chewy in the center for others.
