DH's father went in for surgery on 2/14 to remove a noncancerous mass from his colon and is still in the hospital. Since then he has had 2 more surgeries, 2 in one week!! This poor man cannot get well. He's had one surgery to untwist a couple of areas in the lower colon and the last one Sat AM was because of a high fever and pain. Come to find out he had a staff infection and a UTI!! :rolleyes: :mad: He's still hanging in there, but poor DH is getting a bit down in the dumps about all of this. Maybe this is why I've never trusted VA hospitals......I don't know.

Anyway, can you all keep a couple of good juju thoughts for Alvin tonight? At this point, anything will help.

You can have difficult experiences anywhere. Hope he's doing better very soon.

Hey, I think this helped!! His temp is back to normal this AM and they are thinking about weaning his sedatives down and removing the ventilator tomorrow.

We're keeping our fingers crossed!
