The tofu chocolate mousse on the cover of May looks wonderful and my DH loves choc. mousse. However, isn't tofu bean curd? There's no delicate way to ask this question, but, here goes--Does it give the same "bean effect" (gas) as beans? I'm not sure I want to eat very much of it if that is the case. Any idea? Should I stock up on the Beano?

Gas is not something you'll have to worry about with tofu! No Beano required for Bean curd!

LOL! Well, I've got a BIL who gets gas from a glass of water! But I guess I was generalizing!

Don't tell me that!!! Water is the only thing around here that is safe.

Oh, and I apologize to my poor DH (or is it SH in this case) for having a cheap laugh at his expense!!!

sneezles, I have racked my brain (which may not be too big a task this morning), but I cannot figure out what LOL means. Enlighten me.

lindrusso, I am not sure what SH means, but didn't you mean "GH"? Also, if it makes your GH feel any better, I will admit that I am the one with this problem (on occasion)in our household, not my DH. A friend of mine told me that she recently found a remedy for this problem. She started taking Alfalfa Tabs that she orders from Shaklee. She says she has to take about 10 a day, but they work like a charm.

Hasn't this turned into a lovely, but informative, thread!!
