My dad's side of the family went from Scotland to County Mayo (now Northern Ireland) then to County Galway (Ireland on the west coast), then on to New England about 300 years ago.

My father's folks came from Armagh (Northern Ireland), came thru Ellis Island in 1915. My mother's family was from County Kerry and not sure when they came across.
