This ice cream is one to SCREAM about! It is creamy, not tart but the lemon taste is very much there. I love it!
Here is what I did...I cut the recipe in half, (which made about 1 1/2 qt.), to fit my Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker and it worked out very well. I used 2% milk because thats all we drink in my house. I added zest of one lemon about half way during the processing time. I will make one more change the next time I make this and that will be to chill the liquid until really cold before filling the ice cream freezer to process. I think by doing this it won't take as long to freeze....just a thought. I would also like to lighten it some too but don't know what to replace the whipped cream with.
