Well, Rob and Amber are, well, amazing. How lucky do you have to get to get on a plane a minute before it takes off? That gave them 5 hours ahead of the next plane and everyone else that was stuck on that second flight. What happened to security lines and getting to the airport way ahead of time? Is this only in the US??

I loved the way the show cut to a commercial right before they boarded when R&A were laughing about the other teams' faces when they saw them get on the plane. The show really played that up with having each team already on the plane saying how happy they were that R&A didn't make it!

So now it's 2 trips for R&A - Atlantis and London. Does anyone remember last week when Lynn and Alex won - did they get anything for winnning that leg? I remember saying to DH that they didn't win anything.

I can't stand Ray and Deanna. He's awful to her. He got her so worked up when she was riding the horse that that was the reason it took her forever to do the task. And he was really nasty when talking about the other teams that were last. And much as I don't like Meredith and Gretchen he was really mean about them too.

I am definitely thinking that R&A are going to win.

How come that son didn't know to put his feet in the stirrups?

Common sense should tell you that, I guess him and his mom that kind of relationship, where he can't take her advice at all.

I agree with you on the Ray and Deanna issue, if she was that scared, he should have done it and not put her down like that.

Goodbye to pessimistic Patrick and his mom. I love the happy irony that in the first episode Patrick was telling people Rob was dumb as a brick and that he, Patrick, had made it his goal to lure Rob and Amber into a trap which would lead to their elimination. Who comes in first on the leg Patrick and his mom are eliminated? Rob and Amber, of course. :D

Almost too lucky, I think. In all the seasons I've watched this show, this was the first time I actually wondered if the crew or producers did some mucking about to ensure R&A could get on the plane. I really hope not, but we've seen teams arrive at airports so many times when a flight was still on the ground, only to be told "sorry, the airplane doors are closed, we can't open them for you." I know that the safety and security standards vary by country, of course, and if this was a charter-type flight then the airline may have more flexibility in deciding when the flight is "closed."

Definitely lucky for R&A, however it happened!

I'm liking Joyce and Uchenna and the brothers more each week.

Ray is horrible. I really, really hope that all of the comments he made about not being beaten by old people were foreshadowing that Ray and Deana will go home before Meredith and Gretchen.

See, the attitude that Amber expressed as they were walking up to the plane is precisely the reason I don't like them.

I'm also glad to see Patrick gone (not so much his mom - she was fine). I just hate that attitude too. People would kill to be experiencing the things he's experienced, seeing the places he's visited, etc. If he didn't want to go on the Amazing Race, he should have just stayed his @ss home.

I am hoping to see Ray & Deana go next. She's a whiny crybaby and he's a jerk.

I am still rooting for the brothers. :)

I wasn't in love with Amber's gloating, but felt it was cancelled out by the group gloat on the plane (led by Lynn and Alex) before they realized that Rob and Amber would in fact be joining them. It would be nice if the other teams weren't so fixated on Rob and Amber, and it would also be nice if Rob and Amber weren't so fixated on how much the other teams hate them, IMO.

I read an interesting article the other day in which the show's producer said that he's not really into casting celebrities or contestants from reality shows, but that he doesn't have the final say.

Absolutely agreed. I don't care for Lynn & Alex either, in part because of their obsession with hating Rob & Amber. The fact that they refuse to even speak to/look at/acknowledge them is just childish and stupid. I hope they get eliminated soon too.

Frankly, I am just not that impressed with many of the teams this season. The only teams I can even tolerate watching now are the brothers and Uchenna & Joyce.

That said, next week's episode looks like a trainwreck that I will definitely be tuning in to see. :o

Me too. :D

In the preview did it look like Gretchen had mud or blood all over her face? I assumed mud, DH said blood. Yikes.

It looks like she took a pretty good fall from whatever cavern or something they were climbing down into. I thought it was blood on her face. And it looks like the brothers get into a pretty bad wreck in their Jeep or whatever they were driving. Boy, those guys just can't catch a break, although they seem to still be holding their own pretty well in spite of their bad luck.

I also thought it looked like blood on Gretchen and quite a bit of it. And it will be heartwrenching to watch Uchenna and Joyce with all those children since having the money for either adoption or artificial insemination is why they are racing. Has anyone ever had a car accident on TAR?

I agree I think Ray is a horrible player, all those rude comments about not being beaten by a 70 year old, and always telling Deanna, well lets just quit then. I really dislike him.

I am tired of Lynn and Alex and their childish behavior towards Rob and Amber, but I am also tired of Rob's "legend in his own mind" attitude.

I'm really pulling for the brothers or Uchenna & Joyce to win.
