I love prunes as a snack but I overdid it at Costco and bought a huge bag. DH and kids turned up their noses. They will dry out before I can eat them all. Would freezing help keep them moist, or just turn them to mush? Any recipe ideas to use them up?

You cab store prunes in a tightly covered container for up to 6 months in the fridge...hopefully, this length of time will be enough for you?
question: is it at all possible to freeze dried fruit, or is it best just to store in an airtight container in the fridge?
