I just discovered this peanut butter and thought it was very good. I have no idea if it is a new product or has been around for a while. I found it at Giant Eagle grocery store. I looked for it at Kroger's, and did not see it there. I have used it on toast, and also in baking muffins. Has anyone else tried this? Label says - "What peanut butter should be". It is fortified w/ flaxseed and flaxseed oil. Ingredients read - roasted peanuts, egg whites, wheat germ, flaxseed, flax oil, honey, salt. There are 10 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber per 2T serving. (169 calories). I love the fact there is no trans fat - and it tastes good , too!

Haven't seen it but it sounds great! Will have to look for it next time I do a big city shop!

We buy the Maranatha brand in a two pack at Costco. While visiting my parents I had to make DD a sandwich with Skippy and it seemed tasteless when I licked the spoon. Guess I've gotten used to the good stuff. There are times when Costco hasn't got it in so I'll keep on the lookout for your recommendation.
i always buy natural peanut butter but it doesn't have flax seed or anything else in it so I, too, will look for it, but don't have too much hope of finding it.

:D When I first looked at it, I thought it was Photoshop at work, with Kelsey Grammer's head on another body! He really looks like him.
I don't know why he thinks natural peanut butter is something new, though. It's been around as long as I remember.

Check the expiration date closely. Flax oil has a short shelf life even when refrigerated.

I noticed it had a sell by date of Jan.'06. How short of a shelf life are you talking about? How long do you think it will stay fresh in the refrigerator. I guess I will give it the sniff test peridically and see if it smells rancid.
