Hi everyone-
Around Christmas time I was making some gifts for friends, and came across this recipe for steak spice. We love steak spice and this is by far the best recipe I have ever tried. I gave it to some friends in gift baskets and they have been asking for the recipe as they have used it all up (now that the weather here is warming up and BBQ's are starting to be used). It is from a book by Ted Reader (can't remember the title....)
AMAZING steak spice
1/2 cup coarse kosher salt
1/4 cup coarsely ground black pepper
1/4 cup coarsely ground white pepper
1/4 cup mustard seeds
1/4 cup cracked coriander seeds
1/4 cup granulated garlic
1/4 cup granulated onion
1/4 cup crushed red chilis
1/4 cup dill seeds
Mix and keep in airtight container. Makes 2 1/2 cups.
