might be a dumb question, but I want to be sure...
the description of this pot says the base is oven safe to 350 degrees, but it says nothing about the lid. does anyone have an opinion as to whether this lid would be oven safe at 300 degrees?

If the handle on top of the lid is made of the same stuff as the handles on the pot, I'd think the lid would be oven-safe to the same temp as the base. The lid is almost certainly made of tempered glass, but I'd be extra-careful about letting it come into contact with cold liquid after it's been in the oven.
JMHO, though, based on the photo! :)

Hmm, I'd call QVC's customer service and ask them. They should be able to help you. I have some glass lids, but I know I have never put them in the oven, but I can't remember if they can go either. Sorry I can't be of more help.

well, it is tempered glass. and the handle is the same material.
so it is in the oven now.
my instinct was/is that it will be ok at 300.
300 is not too hot so i think the pot should be fine.

seems to be doing fine in there.
I am making the cowboy beans sweetpea posted, by the way. there were some mixed reviews so I have to see for myself.
