I made the Chocolate Mousse (Cover recipe) this morning. Just couldn't wait any longer. It hasn't chilled 4 hours yet, but I just had to taste it http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/redface.gif. It's great!! Pretty easy also.

I've never made a dessert with tofu. Can you taste the tofu or is it just for texture? I sure love chocolate mousse.

I've seen the cover in the grocery store, but haven't received my issue yet. The cover looks great, but I wondered about the tofu too. I didn't think my husband would eat it, knowing it had tofu in it, but maybe what he doesn't know won't hurt him!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

No, you don't really taste the tofu. It is creamy and chocolately, and no one needs to know it has tofu in it if you don't tell http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

I haven't seen the recipe yet, but now I am really excited. Fresh Fields/Whole Foods sells a chocolate mousse in its prepared foods section. It is made from tofu and cherry puree, and it is so rich and delicious. I hope this is as good. Thanks for the review.

I just made this mousse today - and couldn't wait the four hours to taste it! It was really good, even with a slight goof...I cooked the sugar syrup too long and it got a little caramel-y. I've decided to tell my family that the caramel bits in the mousse are extra special! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif I have made puddings with tofu before, and this recipe is so much better. I don't think anyone who tastes it will detect the tofu. I hope CL keeps giving us ways to use soy that are as non-threatening as these ones. This recipe is a keeper.

Thanks for these reviews. I have been a little wary of trying this (although it looks divine), but am inspired by your success to give it a try. Gaye

I made the mousse this weekend and yum! My husband HATES tofu and he didn't have a clue--he ate two servings! I'd like to try it with something other than choclate next time just to see the results.
