Computer lesson please!

It is time for me to get a little more sophisticated on this thing!! Could someone please direct me too the posts that explain how to make something bold and also how to direct others to a particular thread. I know these threads exsist but at the time they were way over my head! I think I am ready now...

Hi Kima, You can check out the bolded word in this message by clicking on the 'edit/delete' message on my answer (does that make sense?) and see how it looks. To copy the thread I just highlighted the 'address' line that is at the top of your internet browser (the place you would type in an internet address - I use Microsoft Internet Explorer) and then right click mouse, then hit copy. You would then go to the message that you want to paste the address in to, right click again and then hit paste. I hope I didn't confuse you! Anyway, I'm sure someone else can explain it better than I! Good luck.

Let me try, Kima.

For bold, italics, images, etc., click on the "*UBB Code is ON" link which you'll find on the left side of the window you're at after clicking on "Post Reply." This page gives all sorts of instructions on how to. (You won't need to type out a reply - just close the window when you're done reading and/or printing the instructions.)

To direct to another thread, you just need to put that thread's address in your reply. Either type it out manually, or highlight the address (say of this post), click Edit/Copy (or hit Ctrl+C). At this point it's stored on an unseen clipboard in your computer. Now go to your new or current posting and click Edit/Paste (or hit Ctrl+V), and, voila, the address should be right there!

I forgot about that '*UBB Code is On' link Ralph. Thanks! Kima, that is much easier since it has the examples typed out. It will even show you how to italicize words.
