I just popped by the Web site for Victoria Farms, a big producer of asparagus, and spent a few minutes perusing their recipes (http://www.victoriaisland.net/recipes/page2.html) . Just thought I'd post it in case anyone else here is finding herself coming home with it a couple of times a week right about now.

OK, the Chicken And Asparagus in Ginger Dressing is already printing and I'm restocking the Tahini this weekend. :)
Thanks for the link!

Wow!!! Who knew there could be so many choices in one place!! We eat asparagus at least twice a week...it's right up there with salmon on my favorites list!

Thank you so much for the link, Canice. Asparagus, and good ones, are available almost year round now, but my heart still jumps when I see the first of the Delta crop. I serve this vegie often and look forward to trying some new ways.

Jewel, did you try this?
We had it tonight -- I didn't poach the chicken, I stir fried it and the asparagus, but combined everything else in the end so it was essentially the same dish. We liked it. Not exactly a "wow," but good enough to make again some time. I think the sauce is a keeper....

I'd missed that recipe until Jewel pointed it out, then thought I'd give it a go. Can you think of anything that would improve it, Jackie? At first I thought the sauce could be punched up it sounds like that part worked out for you...suggestions? (And thanks for posting the review!)

I didn't have any hot chili/sesame oil (just had regular sesame oil), so I subbed a large tsp. of chili garlic paste. We really liked the sauce, so I don't think I'd tinker with it any more than I did.
The chicken could have benefitted from a little marinating.
Post back if you try it! :)
