Thanks to everyone for all of the good info on New Orleans. We loved the city and got to eat at Nola's (we only had to wait an hour for a walk-in reservation). Thanks again.
Just wondering if you ate anywhere else beside Nola's? We are leaving on Saturday.
I am going next month and definately looking forward to trying out one or two of the recommended restaurants !! I cannot wait, this will be my first visit !! !!
Yes, please provide more feedback. Much as we love providing suggestions, the feedback is oh-so-helpful as well...

We did all of the touristy things--ate Eggs Hussard (their version of Eggs Benedict with extra rich sauces)at Brennan's (Sooo decadently (?) good), coffee and beignets at Cafe du Monde, ate at Cafe Royale (very good), took a St. Charles streetcar ride through the city and garden district, listened to lots of jazz in Jackson Square, shopped everywhere, ate Cajun catfish at Mulate's (outside of NO), etc. (Last year we went to Nova Scotia and heard all about the expulsion of the Acadians so we had to follow that up with a visit to the Cajun village at Breau Bridges -- also outside of NO.)The food was really good, and the city and people were fascinating. Some of our group went to the casino but we would rather tour the city. I'd like to have gone on more of the city tours- the cemetery tour, etc. but ran out of time. The city is definitely a place to eat, eat, eat and we certainly did!
