Has anyone tried the Beef Empanada potpie from the June issue or the Caramel Pineapple Upside Down Cake from April 1998? Please advise.
I tried the Beef Empanada pot pie, and it was very good. However, the crust made from the breadstick dough got brown very quickly -like 20 minutes early so I went ahead and took it out and it was fine. The leftovers weren't all that great because the crust lost its good texture. My husband really liked it a lot. (He's a real meat and potatoes guy).

I made the Beef Empanada pot pie as well and thought it was pretty good. I didn't love it but I think it might be because I'm just not a huge ground beef fan. I agree with Abby though, my crust got very brown quickly (I was lazy and didn't check it http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/frown.gif)Be sure to check yours early!
