Neighborhood Bash

Our subdivision is having a neighborhood block party this weekend. We are asked to bring enough food for our families, and then it will be served buffet style. Any ideas of something simple to cook and transport since everything will be set up outside on tables?

What about pasta salad - with or without a protein like chicken, tuna, or beans. There have been some recent threads about different pasta salads.

I'm co-hosting a get-together tomorrow afternoon at a friend's house, and we're doing a Mexican theme. Making baked Taquitos with black beans, seasoned beef, onions and cheese in corn tortillas, and a burrito and taco bar with all the fixings. Easy to do in a buffet style assembly line. For dessert I'm making the Brownie Cheesecake Torte!
