What is the worst thing that could happen? The bidder will receive 1 negative feedback as a non-paying bidder.

If this is a friend of the seller, he/she won't even receive that....but a lot of publicity will have been gained and this fella has not only had his 15 minutes of fame, but an entire weeks worth.

And when the auction is over the buyer will receive his/her 15 minutes of fame, no money had to exchange hands and all is well with the world....

This guy knows that he isn't going to receive any money. :D

Now there is a guy on ebay selling his "bottled up rage" against Jennifer and the piece of toast. He's just mad that he didn't think of the toast thing first. You're right...the toast guy won't get any money...just the 15 minutes of fame. People have way too much time on their hands. :D
