Carrot Cake?????????

Is there a trick to slicing the cake into layer? I am baking one and I need it in 3 layers. thanxs!!!!

It helps sometimes to partially freeze it and then slice through with a long knife. Another way is to use a long piece of dental floss and pull it through it to slice it in half. Hope these suggestions help. :)

It also helps to mark the layers by sticking toothpicks in the side around the cake, then using them as a guide while slicing. They are easily removed before frosting.
