I want to use cake mix and make muffins, and then freeze them. We like a little something after dinner, but overeat on cake. If I frost them, how will they NOT stick in the freezer container or bag?

I am not sure how well frosting freezes, but here's how I would do it. I would place the frosted cupcakes on a baking sheet (or maybe right back into the muffin pan) and place them in the freezer until hardened (a few hours). Then I'd place them in a plastic ziptop bag for longer-term storage. Placing them in the bag after they're frozen should keep them from sticking to the bag or each other.

In addition, I might wrap them in wax paper after they are hardened, just to be safe.
Great idea!

I've used a Tupperware 9 x 13 plastic container for cupcakes or a coconut cake that I have that freezes well. Works very well and it is easy to remove just one at a time and they don't get crushed in the freezer.
