A few questions...I was trying to post a reply on the "You are so fun" thread, and I got the "Thanks for posting your reply" message, but it never showed up. This happened twice, and I had good luck on some other topics tonight. Anyone know why this happened? It's happened before, too, and I don't think I've done anything different between postings.
Also, how does one move from Junior Member to Member?
Lastly, I just want you to know that it's a lot of fun for me to read everyone's ideas, recipes, and comments. I feel like I've found a way to escape to "Foodieland" whenever I want to have some good reading! Thanks!

Try hitting "Refresh" or "Reload" to see the most current posts, depending on what browser you're using. That might take care of the problem.
You'll become a member after you post 50 posts. To check how many posts you've had, just click on your profile.

I have found that times when the web or this board are running slow (lots of traffic or a high message count--and I bet CL has to do some more archiving in the week ahead), I have noticed that replies may not show up for hours. It seems especially true on the longer threads. Look back later, next visit even, and see if it arrived.

Thanks, Beth and Aggie94...this is all new to me. Hope everyone will excuse any repeats that I may have made. I don't know if there's any way to delete repeats from my end.

Sometimes a thread is more than one page long and your reply ends up on the second page and you don't see it on the first and don't realize it's actually there on the second! This has happened to me.

If you double post and want to go back and fix it, you can edit the repeat post (click on the icon with the pencil just above the post) and then delete the text. I've noticed a lot of people replace the text with something like "Oops, double post!" You can't actually delete the post as if it never happened. Or you can just leave it--everyone's done it at least once and we all understand. We won't hold it against you http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

Welcome to the board! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
There's a really helpful link at the top left of the page for new members -- it should answer a lot of your questions.

I have this problem quite a lot (replies not showing up) and it's happened already this morning. I actually posted a thread on the Tech Board but Maelynn said that they couldn't re-create this problem so I figured it was just my computer (glad to hear it's not). I did discover that you can click on "post a reply" and then scroll down to find your post but you cannot edit it from there (but at least you know it actually posted!)
