Hmmmm? Fun Thread (http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24570&perpage=30&pagenumber=4)

I was searching for something else, came across this, and spent 5 minutes giggling like crazy.

Ahh, the good old days!

I think I've read that thread before but it had me giggling once again (as I sit here in my boycuts that I just bought to try). Thanks for the laugh, now we just have to come up with a topic that will make us laugh just as much.

Ha! I just finished skimming through this thread (http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30748&highlight=bikini+wax) , which also made for some funny moments!:o :p

OMG Rebecca - I remember that one!

"waxing the hamster" - I nearly spit out my coke reading that one!

Oh, I really hope people resurrect other funny threads.

Those threads were hilarious! I wasn't around for them. :(

I wear bikinis most of the time. I have a few thongs, but I don't find them that comfortable. I consider them "sexy" underwear. I also have a pair of lace boy shorts... they seem to be pretty popular around here. ;)

My SIL loves thongs...she is not a tiny girl. I saw her in front of church one day (she's the pastor's wife) and I could see every inch of her cellulite under her cream dress.

I've never waxed the hampster, but y'all have me tempted. I heard Oprah talking about it the other day. Someone on her staff had to explain brazilian waxing to her. She said the only way she'd do that was on a Morpheine drip! :D

I thought this thread (http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=71918&highlight=bra) was funny. I guess it is a necessary evil.

Me too. When I did that bodybuilding comp last year, of course, I had to be hairless. So I got my legs waxed as a test run a month or two before, just to see whether I thought my hamster could take it. http://ellis.dyndns.biz/users/chinwag/emoticons/negative/crazy.gif

I ended up using a nice Mach 3 razor on everything, thankyewverymuch...

Oddly enough, this was the topic of conversation in the back of the bus on an offsite work team development trip I took last Thursday. Our poor department head (male, rather young) was just in front of us, as six women earnestly discussed the relative merits of waxing and sugaring. I could see him listening -- occasionally twitching as though he was going to turn and join the conversation (he might quite possibly have had something to contribute, as he is of the sensitive new age guy persuasion with many female friends) -- thinking better of it. Very funny. Then they started talking about breast surgery (which two of them, to my surprise, had had). Thought bubble over dept. head: "Well, I wanted team building, I suppose I can't complain..."

Oh, when I've waxed at home, you should see my husband's skin crawl. They love to think they're stronger than us, but deep down they know they're wimps.

He's pretty quick to tell me he likes the results of all the shaving and waxing. :o  He knows how much it hurts because I've tagged him with the wax before...:D

I tried waxing my legs many, many years ago and I can still remember the pain. I am to chicken to try getting any other part waxed.
My DH thinks I'm a hero enough just with shaving. He actually shaved his legs when he did the Kona Ironman (many triathletes shave all year round). He had so many nicks that his towel was covered with spots of blood. I kept joking with him that he would have to swim a lot faster so that the sharks didn't catch up with his blood trail.

I found this one (http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22809&highlight=Typhoid+Lisa) a while back. Still makes me laugh:D Or stand back in awe...

I think I now know waaaaaaaay too much about y'all!!

I waxed once or twice before big beach trips. I will probably do it when we go to Hawaii next winter. I asked the girl who does my eyebrows about the brazilian. She said that they aren't required to do it, and she had to take a valium before another girl practiced on her, and she couldn't make it all the way through.

As for thongs, I like VS second skin satin. I only have one, need to buy more!

Oooo, the famous Typhoid Lisa thread. Very fun.
