Loren (Gracie) already started a thread over on Other Stuff, but the new Boston Penzey's (located in Arlington!) is now open. They opened last Friday, with absolutely no fanfare or advance notice. (I drove past the building at 8:45 a.m. Friday and the sign in the window still said "Opening soon" -- then they opened for business at 9:30!)
Anyway, I live a few block from the store - within very easy walking distance. So I'd like to host a BB Penzey's Klatch. My idea was to invite folks over for a potluck lunch, maybe featuring recipes make with a Penzey's spice.
Then, we could walk over and do some shopping. There is also a Trader Joe's in Arlington Heights, and a great bakery, Lakota, that makes out-of-this-world cookies. It's also a short drive to Wilson Farms.
So, would the dates of Saturday, June 11 or Saturday, June 18 work for folks? (Penzey's is not open on Sundays). Best idea might be to go over to Other Stuff and add your comments to Loren's thread.
