I picked up a can of canola oil spray today at TJ's and notice that it says on the label "excellent for cooking and flavoring" and that it can be lightly sprayed on hot pasta or vegetables to add flavor. Add flavor? I thought canola oil was virtually flavorless? Do I want to spray a loaf pan with this for banana bread if it's the same thing I'd put on pasta? It somehow strikes me odd....

Maybe they just meant that fat in and of itself offers a rounder "taste" for the tastebuds irrespective of actual additional flavorings.
