American Idol Finale

I voted for Bo!!!! (Several times) I like both he and Carrie, but I'm more "Rocker" than "Country". I didn't like a couple of the songs they sang. I didn't think it was their best night. Each of them will have a career, no matter who wins, so it's a win win situation. I really hope Bo wins though.

Does anyone else hear Carrie get slightly off key ever once in a while?

I definitely noticed this too. It sounded like she couldn't hear herself over the band. Or maybe she was nervous.

The show just finished here in Hawaii and I am voting right now like crazy for Bo.

My kids asked me to vote for them (they went to bed at 8:30) but I fell asleep :o Bad Mom! DS wanted Bo, DD wanted Carrie.

Although they were both good, neither of them really blew me away last night. No goosebump performances for me.

I also thought Carrie was off on a couple of songs! Her first song sounded like she had some major problems especially at the beginning of the song. I also thought she was off-key on part of the last song. I thought the music was extremely loud and wondered if it sounded totally different inside the auditorium though.

I voted for Bo...numerous times. I agree with what everyone has said that maybe he'd do better if he didn't win, but I think they should both have wonderful singing careers regardless of which one wins.

I heard a report this morning that Bo was under the weather yesterday. He had food poisoning or stomach virus. They said Carrie had had ear problems and I assumed that was why she was off, but then they said they hurt her ear putting in her earring!!!

Its going to be a close call, What did you think of each of their original songs? I thought Carries suited her more than BO. It sounded like he had trouble starting off with the notes. I thought Carries original was her best performance yet.


AS for the the AI song, I liked the way Bo did his version best.

And I loved him singing Vehicle, he sounds just liek the lead singer from blood sweat and tears, who I thought sang that

Anyone notice how all of AI songs have to do with heaven, climbing mountains, and angels?

I thought last night was rather boring for both of them and they were both a little off, although still very good (this is coming from someone who should only sing in the shower). That being said, I don't care which one wins - he is the rocker and she is the country girl, so I guess it depends on which genre you like. I like rock.

Another thought, I think Clay Aiken has done equally as well as Reuben (maybe more so!) and he came in second. In some respects it may be better to come in second since that person will still get into the recording business and not have to deal with the contracts they sign with AI. Just thinking out loud.

I just wanted to be sure all the AI fans know the show is on for 2 hours tonight...8 to 10 EST. Of course, chances are that nothing exciting will happen until about 9:45, but who knows!! :D
