Refrigerator shopping-- KA? other?

I'm refrigerator shopping and have found a side-by-side KitchenAid that I like. After reading the bad epinion reviews, I'm hesitant eventhough Consumer Reports ranks KA in the top three. I have KA small appliances which have given trouble-free service for years. Does this carry over to their large appliances? (If there's another brand that you *love* I'd like to hear about that, as well.)

I have a KA built-in frig, it is fine, I'd recommend it.

Do you have a specific model you're looking at? I have a KA stainless side by side and love it. TONS of room and the freezer baskets are great.
