We're going to Atlantic City at the end of the month for my Mother's birthday, I'd love to bring some homemade treats in a little basket to go along with her morning and late afternoon coffee breaks. So far all I could come up with was biscotti, any other ideas on what might travel well and keep without a frig?

scones, muffins and shortbreads would work too :D

You could also take some flavored coffees (or flavorings to ADD to the coffees), teas or even chai mix. All of the baked goods suggested sound good to me! :)

Thanks ladies, I guess it will be muffins, now which to choose. :) I was planning to bring brownies for the kids. Its just so expensive to buy treats for us when in AC, not to mention the taste isn't the greatest. I guess its time to search the muffin threads. :)

Or if anyone reading this has some recipes for a good pound/bundt cake that I can slice up and wrap, that will keep for 2-3 days, I'm all ears. She loves chocolate, lemon, and carrot cakes, also coffee cakes. :)
