New Wine????

DH and I ate dinner out last night, and their featured wine was a white merlot from Forest Glen - has anyone ever had it? It sounds so interesting. It was so warm and we were more into iced tea and water rather than wine, but it's definitely on my list to try!

Hi. No I have not tried merlot from Forest Glen but their chardonnay is pretty good (think it was 1997 or 98).

Well I headed out today on my lunch hour and bought a bottle. The cost was $8.99 (at a wine warehouse place), and it was with the white zinfandels. I think it's one of those trendy new fruity wine thingies. I'm not all that keen on white zin, but I figure, for $9.00, it might be nice on ice on a hot summer day. I'll report back after I try it.

We tried it; a lot like white zin in my opinion. Too sweet for me. Seems to be somewhat pricey where you live. I don't think it was more than $5 at my grocery store, but then maybe it was a special.
