We will be in Seattle at the end of August for four or five days. We will be staying downtown at a convention hotel. We will have some free time and I would really appreciate any suggestions for touring and, of course, great restaurants.

Here are some previous threads (http://community.cookinglight.com/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=707345&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) with lots of ideas. Seattle is such a fun city. :) Check out their concert listings for the Concerts on the Pier series.

You might consider booking a reservation on the Spirit of Washington Dinner train. It starts out in Renton and goes through Bellevue & Redmond and finally to Woodinville and then returns back via the same route. They serve dinner or brunch and I believe it takes 3 hours appox. Once the train arrives in Woodinville you will have time to tour the Columbia Winery too. It is a nice way to see some sights that you would normally not see. The other nice feature is that in August it will probably not be dark until the very end of the ride so you will get to see a lot of scenery.
