My husband and I will be going to Santa Fe, New Mexico in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if anyone has any good resturants to recommend.
Thanks,
Karen

I am going in 3 weeks for the Leukemia Society Century ride. Are you doing this too?

Some of my favorites are Coyote Cafe, The Pink Adobe, La Casa Sena and for a brunch there's the Grant Corner Inn. There's many, many others as the food in Santa Fe is generally very good.

Also, you might want to catch a cooking class at the Santa Fe School of Cooking. I've taken several there. They used to have a Light Cooking Class you may be interested in.

Have a great trip--SF is one of my favorite weekend getaways here in the SW.

I love Santa Fe - I am sure you will too.
I second the vote for La Casa Sena - if you make reservations there you should go to the Cantina (they have two seperate areas - the cantina and the dining room) In the cantina all the wait staff are singers and they entertain all evening long. It is wonderful. I also highly, highly recommend Vanessie's it is a resturant and piano bar. It is a great place to go for a few drinks after dinner and listen to the music.

Thanks for the input! We are going for fun, not the Century ride. I am scheduled for a light cooking class at the cooking school while my husband does some heavy hiking(I am pregnant)

Lucky you! Santa Fe is my favorite place in the world! My family vacationed there every summer when I was growing up, and I find myself needing to go back every couple of years (wish it was more often) to get my "Santa Fe Fix"! For a yummy breakfast try Tecolote, the Sage Bakehouse(for yummy scones and muffins), Pasqual's (this is also an awesome dinner choice), or a few miles outside of the city is Tesuque Market. Lunch you should try The Shed (it used to not be open at dinner, but it might be now). For dinner try Geronimo, The Pink Adobe, The Old House.

I can probably think of a bunch more, but this is what came off the top of my head! If I think of something else that's a "can't miss" I'll post again. Enjoy your trip!

Oh my goodness, you are so lucky! We love going to Santa Fe!

Our favorite restaurants are Coyote Cafe, Ristra, Santa Cafe. We also like the Old House in the El Dorado Hotel.

Have a great time!

DH & I have been enjoying Santa Fe getaways for quite a few years!!! One of our most favorite resturants is Vanessie of Santa Fe at 434 West San Francisdo. Their phone # is 505-982-9966. It is sort of hard to find but well worth the trip.

Breakfast at Pasqual's is always a treat (try the chrizo & scrambled egg burrito!!!). Be prepared...there is always a line though.

Tortilla Flats at 3139 Cerrillos Rd is another good breakfast or lunch spot (haven't tried dinner but I'd think it would be good too).

If you are interested in history...try the "Cross of the Martyers". It is a BEAUTIFUL walk plus history about Santa Fe, NM. It is in the area of Paseo De Peralta Street & near Otero (4-way stop).

Let us know how your trip goes.
